Introducing the release of the Database Powered Dynamic Resume Platform Version 1.0. Throughout my years of experience, I have noticed that recruiters have diverse preferences when it comes to resume formats. Consulting companies involved in contracts with the Government of Canada demand meticulous details, while small private employers prefer concise two-page resumes. Some employers may want to see work experience spanning 5, 10, 15, 25 years, or everything. Additionally, there are those who value a brief summary, whereas others desire comprehensive information. To complicate matters further, various employers require resumes in PDF, Microsoft Word, or plain text formats for their Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Crafting a resume that pleases every recruiter is a time-consuming task, which is why I developed a Resume App to tackle this challenge.
WordPress was not up to the challenge, I hand-coded this platform using MySQL and PHP generated HTML at the back-end as well as some HTML and Javascript at the front-end, incorporating a CSS Framework and a few snippets provided by [https://www.w3schools.com].
Version 1.0 currently supports Portable Document Format (PDF) and Formatted Text, with Microsoft Word Format under development for release in Version 1.1. Written in PHP and MySQL, Version 1.0 utilizes a back-end database, while Version 2.0 is in the works as a static website utilizing Javascript and JSON.
